Stone Cement
Large-Scale Cement Manufacturing Complex
Developing cement supply for the Great Lakes region.
Stone Cement is an integrated cement manufacturing project in Tanzania’s Kigoma Region. It plans to connect quarry development with raw material preparation, clinker production, cement grinding, blending and dispatch.
The planned location supports the project’s focus on inland markets and trade through the Lake Tanganyika corridor. Target customers include distributors, construction businesses and infrastructure buyers in western Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda and eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The business plan sets out a capacity progression from 250,000 metric tonnes per year in Phase I to 1 million in Phase II and 3 million in Phase III. These are planned capacities, not current production. The stated Phase I investment estimate is US$54,912,960, including capital expenditure and initial working capital. The project seeks financing and strategic partners to support development and commissioning.
